Muchas veces consideramos que algunas materias en llevamos en la universidad son perdida de tiempo; es mejor pensarlo no dos veces, varias veces. Estudiar temas relacionados con la tecnologia no solamente es obligatorio, sino necesario. Las redes sociales, los “smart phone”, televisiones, autos, electronicos del hogar, por mencionar algunas, usan software inteligente, internet, y otros sistemas tecnologicos.

I am a Computer Engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi, Mexico. My strongest areas are ASP.NET,VB.NET,Web Services, SQL Server, HTML, DOM, JavaScript although in my 5 years hands-on experience I’ve been involved in projects using XML,CSS, PHP, MySQL, and some Perl.

My professional career began as an Assistant Software Developer using VB6 and SQL Server 7, and later in the same position I had the opportunity to migate VB6 application to .NET 2005 and SQL Server 2005. Later I became a project leader. My team designed the architecture for a migration from a ASP application to ASP.NET 2005, Web services and Asterisk integration.

To further my professional career, I decided that I needed to sharpen my English skills by enrolling in the International Business program at Cal State University East Bay. During that time I had also been continually updating my technical skills and knowledge to provide me with strong knowledge in C#, and WPF.

I’m a self-taught, I like being it. I keep myself updated in the latest web specifications W3C.

Currently I’m working at ITD Alameda County as a Mid-Level VB.NET Web Developer (.NET 3.5), and JavaScript, where I have the opportunity to support and help out my team-members to understand AJAX concepts and techniques.

I’m a fast learner and eager to learn new things every day.
